Q. Will Allbooks Reviews consider my book for review?
A. Absolutely, we at Allbooks Reviews will review your book unless it contains the following: pornography, extreme violence, and/or excessive foul language. Our staff will have the final say in deciding whether your mature adult content falls into these categories.
Q. How can I get my book reviewed?
A. Simply contact us through the website and we will provide you with our mailing address and additional submission procedures.
Q. Should I just email my manuscript to Allbooks for a review?
A. No, we do not accept unsolicited books. Please contact us first to ensure you receive our proper submission procedures. We do offer manuscript editing services as well as reviews. Allbooks Reviews is happy to provide pre-pub reviews and will accept printed galleys for this purpose. You will find our reviews and comments on many book covers and jackets.
Q. How long will it be before my book is reviewed?
A. Books are reviewed within a range of 30 - 60 days from receipt of the book. Most are completed within 30 days. Promo package books are reviewed on a first come first served basis.
Free reviews are simply put on a Reviewer's List to be chosen for review. There is no time guarantee with a free review and no guarantee it will be chosen and reviewed.
Q. Does Allbooks post my review on Amazon?
A. NO LONGER AVAILABLE DUE TO AMAZON POLICY. WE WILL POST TO Barnesandnoble.com, Chapters.ca, etc if requested
Q. What other services does Allbooks Reviews offer?
A. Allbooks Reviews offers: Manuscript editing, Proof reading, Synopsis writing for promotion or book jackets, Advertising, book signing attendance (if in proximity to our office), advice and cousel. We have searched the web for various author services and Allbooks offers the same if not more for much much less. Allbooks Review is now affiliated with RealTime Publishing and will be happy to put you in touch with one of the finest POD publishers and ebook publishers on the web today.
Q. How long will my book be 'Featured' once it has been reviewed?
Full review posted for two to three months, Book details and cover posted for 12 months
Q. What if I want to advertise my book on your site but I do not want a review?
A. Contact us for advertising fees and information. Featured Authors get 50% off our advertising rates with the package. We will advertise both reviewed and unreviewed books. All submissions will be screened for pornography/foul language etc before being accepted.
Q. What if I am shipping my book from another country?
A. Simply mark the package "Media Release" with a value less than $5 and there will be no difficulty with customs, border crossings, etc.
We try to make payment as easy as possible in either US or Cdn. funds. UK authors can NOW send their payment in British Pd. Sterling to a UK address if taking advantage of our Promotion Package. Paypal is a simple alternative for authors from other countries. Payment by credit card accepted on Paypal. Some authors prefer to order through Amazon and have them ship the review copies. This works very well.
Q. What happens to my review copy after it is reviewed?
A. Books sent for review become the property of Allbooks Reviews. Rest assured, we DO NOT sell your book as used copies on Amazon , as is the case with some less reputable reviewers. Many Allbooks reviewers keep the books on their personal bookshelves or present them as gifts to people who love to read. Most books, especially Children’s titles are distributed free of charge to schools, libraries and local reading groups. Adult titles may be distributed to Senior’s Homes, Adult reading programs, etc. as we like to promote reading and literacy whenever possible. Some are donated to charities such as UNICEF where they are shipped to countries where books are rare and greatly appreciated. Once in a while we set a book free with BookCrossings.com sending it on a journey around the world. Whatever the fate of your review copy, you can be sure that your book will be handled with the utmost respect and will be distributed to a worthy reader after it is reviewed.
Q. Can I contact Allbooks Reviews with questions after my review is complete?
A. By all means, we love to hear from our authors and we are always happy to direct you to a source or provide advice and encouragement.
We are here to help you whenever possible.
Q. Why doesn’t Allbooks Reviews charge exorbitant rates like some other promotion companies?
A.
Because we are authors ourselves and we know how hard it is to promote your book. Our prime objective is to be of assistance, to encourage and support fellow authors, we are not here to get rich or take advantage of anyone. The small fee that we charge for our promo package covers our administration costs and helps us improve our services and our site so that your book will receive the best promotion possible.
Q. Can I select the reviewer of my choice?
A. Absolutely, scroll through the Review Showcase and read reviews by all of our reviewers. If you like a particular style or feel that one reviewer is better suited for your specific genre, please feel free to request that reviewer for your book. We will do our best to have your preferences met, if however the particular reviewer is unavailable, we will suggest an alternative.
Q. What happens if I receive a bad review and do not want it published?
A. If you are not happy with your review, you have the right to ask Allbooks not to publish it. We will respect your wishes. If you want a line or two removed, we will accomodate you before posting to Amazon or other sites. If we publish the review on our site, it will be in its original state.
If you have paid for the promo and do not wish to have the review circulated, you will not receive a refund.
98% of our reviews are positive and usable.
Q. What do I get from Allbooks Reviews that other reviewers don't provide?
A. First and foremost, we contact you right away. Many reviewers never acknowledge receipt of review copies or bother to send the review to the author. At Allbooks Reviews, we value our clients and we respond to emails and queries within 24 hours.
Authors receive a useable review for promotion. Your book is FEATURED for two - three months. The book info is posted for one year with the cover shot and purchase info. (you provide the link)
Interviews with authors and articles written by authors are posted on the site. Your comments on the review will include the name of your book to give further promo. We post our reviews in various publications both printed and on the internet.

Galleys: PDF's or MSWord docs, for pre-pub reviews.
E books only: For ebooks you can send MS Word format or PDF. Our ebook reviewer prefers MSWord or Acrobat Adobe PDF if possible.
Allbooks Review Book Promotion
We will read and review your book. The review will be submitted to various publications and websites for publication (at least five) Your review may appear in our column syndicated to 21 chronicles including California Chronicle and World news or our bimonthly column in Writing Raw Magazine. An electronic copy of the review will be emailed to you for your own promotional use. At Allbooks we read every book from cover to cover, never quickly scanning the contents before writing the review.
Your book will be the Featured Book on the Allbooks page, for a period of 30-90 days, including full review, cover shot and purchase information. Your cover and a link will be posted in Allbooks Review Showcase for a period of 12 months. We have instant purchase links to Amazon or to your site. You will be asked to post our review on your site and we will link to it. Your interview will be posted on our interview page as well as in our newsletter.
Review is automatically posted on Amazon.ca, Amazon.uk.co, BarnesandNoble.com if your book is listed. Review will appear on numerous blogs, websites, etc. Interview with author may appear in our newsletter.
Authors may submit articles for our newsletter as well. You may add your link to the site once your book is submitted for review. Your interview will be posted on our interview page, as well as in our newsletter.
Authors purchasing the promotional package can purchase advertising on our site for 50% off our posted rate. This includes your cover in our Allbookstore for as little as $6.
This complete promotional package is available for the low price of $49.95 US or $55.95 Cdn. We have a special mailing address for UK and European authors who can now pay in Pds. Sterling (24£) and mail their checks to a UK address. Books will still have to be sent to the provided address. You will have the choice of shipping the book to a UK reviewer or North American reviewer.
Once your payment is received you will be given the mailing address of the reviewer and you can mail the review copy direct. This saves time and border crossings, which can sometimes result in lost parcels. If you are having your publisher mail the review copy, please send your check under separate cover and include a note advising us that the book will arrive directly from the publisher. Publishers do not send books quickly, we will let you know when the book arrives.
For cross border shipments, please be sure to mark the package, "Media Release value less than $5." to ensure rapid customs clearance. When mailing your book by mail-- "Media Mail" is much cheaper within the continental US. If shipping from other countries it is often less complicated and expensive to order from Amazon and have them ship the book to the reviewer.
